The Indian-Chinese border conflict kicked off a dispute that made headlines. An Indian delegate sought to discuss the issue. He was ruled out of order by the chairman on the grounds that the rules for the conference specified that no sonflict between Afro-Asian countries should be discussed.

The entire Indian delegation thereupon walked out despite the appeals of the Chinese delegation to stay.
