The leader of the front is Gaston Soumialot, a well-known Lumumbist in Kivu, Direct connections appear to. exist with the guerrilla forces led by Pierre Mulele in the Kouilou-Kasai region, as well as with the "Committee for National Liberation" in exile in Brazzaville, which includes most of the exiled nationalist leaders,
