India hold no prospect of improving under its. capitalist system, even with American dollars to help out. The latest news is widespread riots as the hardest pressed layers seek desperately to keep from dying from hunger.

The rioting has occurred in Bihar, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh, State-controlled grain shops are the targets of the hungry crowds. In Andhra Pradesh, the press reported August 12 that 1,000 students attacked official homés. The police beat them off with clubs.
