ANTIWAR DEMONSTRATORS BATTLE POLICE IN FLORENCE
Hundreds of demonstrating students fought off police in Florence on April 23. Many were injured in the clashes, including seyen cops.
Thousands of persons from all over Italy had gathered in the San Giovanni Plaza near the Duomo to protest the aggression of U.S. imperialism in Vietnan. When the students stopped cars entering the area, the 1,500 cops assigned to the rally opened the attack.
