DEMANDS MORE TROOPS FROM U.S.

Ky announced May 5 that he needs more troops "from the United States, Korea or other countries" to continue his war. At present he has at his disposal more than 1,000,000 men of which the U.S. contingent is an admitted 440,000. Ky's announcement came just two days after Johnson denied reports that Gen. Westmoreland had been promised another big increase in U.S. troops.
