The trial of 31 revolutionaries who are accused of having expropriated funds of several banks in 1963 in order to obtain money to finance revolution and to purchase arms ended July 18.
Since the trial had been continually adjourned -- although it began seval times -- most of the defendants had already spent five years in jail.
Of the group, twenty-five were set free and eight were given additional sentences. Mantorell and Pereyra were given seven-year terms, meaning that they have two more years to serve before their re-
lease. It is assumed, however, that they
will be set free soon because they have
completed two-thirds of their sentences.
